You're Invited to a Free Webinar:
Teaching effective reading strategies is essential for all students and supported by the National Reading Panel’s research on teaching children to read. English Language Learners (ELL) often need intensive language development, as well as instruction in literacy strategies and skills. This session will demonstrate how k3000 can be effectively implemented with ELLs by addressing the five essential elements of reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Discover how k3000 supports students building phonemic awareness and phonics in English when they are just learning to hear and distinguish sounds. Literacy features build fluency, find multiple definitions and synonyms, in addition to translations to a student’s native language. Writing is also an integral part of literacy instruction. Writing strategies such as using brainstorming templates, word lists, word prediction, and academic word lists support fluency for students whose awareness of the structures of language is still limited. k3000 is an excellent tool for whole-class instruction, is available on any platform, and can be accessed online.
